Senior Communications Advisor

We are strengthening our team and in search of an ambitious and highly qualified individual who will have a unique opportunity to work on communication within Arendals Fossekompani and our portfolio companies. If you are the right match, we can assure you a central role in a strong and knowledgeable team. The Senior Communications Advisor will be part of the Communication team and report to VP Communications and Sustainability. The position is based in Arendal.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Contribute to the development of the communication and IR strategy and execute activities in accordance with the strategy. 
  • Drive proactive and strategic communication efforts, including responsibility for content creation in our own channels. 
  • Write press releases and develop key messages and talking points. 
  • Actively engage with regional and national media. 
  • Provide media advice and support within the organization. 
  • Assist with financial and sustainability reporting. 
  • Responsible for planning and executing events that promote Arendals Fossekompani and portfolio companies.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant field (media and communication, journalism, marketing, digital communication, or equivalent)
  • Several years of experience within media, communications agency, or a marketing/communications department. 
  • Proficient and confident in crafting compelling content, including thought leadership, news stories, press releases, and social content with a fast-writing ability.
  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Preferably, experience in working with investor relations (IR).

  • Proactive and independent with strong execution skills. 
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • You must enjoy teamwork with diverse professionals in an international environment. 
  • Dedicated to communication and see it as a crucial tool for helping us achieve our goals.
