Project Manager

This is a new and exciting Project Manager opportunity with a focus on green technologies (e.g. carbon capture, battery, hydrogen fuel cells).The right candidate will be self-motivated, able to work well with others, and can utilize both technology and engineering principles to overcome challenging tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party.
  • Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget.
  • Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities according to mandate.
  • Managing delivery of the project according to this plan.
  • Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
  • Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Participate in department, and business wide improvement projects and initiatives.

Requirements and skills

Required Education:

  • Master or Bachelor Degree in a relevant engineering subject. Preferably Process, Mechanical, Electrical or Automation related Engineering or Engineering for technical project managers. Or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus

Required Work Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience from Project management.
  • Knowledge of, or interest in shipping, maritime operations and products
  • Competence or interest in the technical domain can be an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience from hydrogen and fuel cell is advantageous but personnel with other relevant experience are encouraged to apply. 
  • Knowledge of maritime regulators, DNV, Lloyds, ABS, BV etc.
