Safety Engineer

This is a new and exciting safety engineering opportunity with a focus on green technologies (e.g. carbon capture, battery, hydrogen fuel cells).

The right candidate will be self-motivated, able to work well with others, and can utilize both technology and engineering principles to overcome challenging tasks.

Responsible for:

  • The Safety Engineer will be and integrated part of the engineering team
  • Lead/participate multidiscipline safety & risk reviews, work with different activities regardingtechnical safety, working environment and external environment in all project phases
  • Ensure that documentation is in accordance with guidelines and requirements
  • Project Execution

Formal Education

• B. Sc. / M. Sc. Engineering, but relevant long experience can compensate the formal education 

Experience from

  • Technical Safety / Functional Safety.
  • Experience from industrial, product or system safety from Maritime, Offshore or land-based industry
  • R&D, studies/FEED, EPCI
  • Safety engineering, procedures, and methods
  • Define and develop design validation-, testing- and safety programs/documentation
  • Safety Management System, HAZID, FME(C)A, SIL, CFD simulations, quantitative – and qualitative riskassessments, safety strategy).
  • Safety standards, rules and regulations
  • Experience from classification society/certification processes is beneficial
