As an Investment Analyst at Arendals Fossekompani, you will join an active ownership environment and participate in ongoing value creation for Arendals Fossekompani, our portfolio companies, and other investments.
A typical workday in this role will be varied. As a central part of the investment team, you will have significant influence and work closely with highly skilled leaders and employees both in Arendals Fossekompani and together with our portfolio companies. As you develop in your role, you will also have the opportunity to transition into more senior positions in the investment team.
The workplace will be at our newly redesigned headquarters in Arendal with the expectation of some travel. This position reports to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
• Actively participate in strategy and business development for Arendals Fossekompani and for our portfolio companies
• Conduct analyses to create insights and solid decision-making foundations for the executive management and board
• Actively contribute to identifying and evaluating investment opportunities
• Assessment of market opportunities
• Assist in financial reporting
• Actively contribute to the ongoing assessment of the company’s investments and portfolio
Qualifications and experience:
• Relevant higher education from a recognized institution
• 2+ years of experience with operational roles in relevant companies, ex: in business development, consulting, strategy, or advisory services
• Business experience in an international environment is a plus
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
Personal qualities:
• Result-oriented, accurate, and independent
• Curious, proactive, and ambitious with a desire to develop
• Social, personable, and a team player
• Strong interest in investments, strategy, and business development
