Senior Engineer Power Electronics

This is a new and exciting engineering opportunity with a focus on POWER ELECTRONICS in the hydrogen fuel cell sector.

The right candidate will be self-motivated, able to work well with others, and can utilize both technology and engineering principles to overcome challenging tasks.

Responsible for:

  • The Power Electronics Senior Engineer will be and integrated part of the engineering team 
  • Development, testing and verification of power electronic systems in the Low Voltage category – especially power converters in marine applications
  • Statutory representation and communication (NEK, IEC, class)
  • Electrotechnical safety
  • Ensure that documentation is in accordance with guidelines and requirements
  • Coordination of deliverables, including other disciplines and suppliers
  • Cost estimates and technical sales support
  • Project execution

Experience from 

  • Maritime, Offshore O & G, or Renewable Industries within
  • Technology Development & Qualification Program and EPCIC Projects from design/manufacturing/service companies
  • B. Sc. /M. Sc.
  • Frequency response analysis
  • Electrical safety (short circuit and discrimination analysis)
  • Hybrid ship power and propulsion systems (DC-grids)
  • EPLAN or WSCAD – detail design
  • Good communications skills both in English and Norwegian
    • Possibilities to travel on relatively short notice
